Dee, We've done a ton of research asking consumers about the most powerful ways to reach them about a product and recommendation from friend/family always comes out as 1st or 2nd. Problem with ROI is that in many cases you have little to no spending in WOMM for which to track a return. Tracking seems to be the big opportunity. I think this starts by digging back through a interaction or two to understand how and why the recommender gave the recommendation. Did the company give the recommender topics and tools to make it easy to talk? The source and format of the recommendation will be key.

Cal Holiday's triumphant maiden voyage

Baby steps. Noah's first physical steps are coming very soon. My first blogged words are flowing like molasses in January. I know you're asking, "hey Cal, where you been?" Still hibernating. It is the warmest weekend in '07 and I'm in an all-day technology training, thus the digital ones and zeros coming your way with Cal's signature "always on vacation" swagger. Looking forward to the bikes, board, beers to fill in the current bullshit (work), books (school) and nights I wouldn't trade for anything of bath, book, bottle, bed with Noah and Beth. Life is good. The possibilites are endless.
